Congratulations to Danielle Scoffield, a grade eight student at Carbon School, for receiving an Honourable Mention in the Alberta Education Think Globally Art Contest!
The Think Globally Art Contest is a great opportunity for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 to celebrate the various First Nations, Métis and Inuit cultures in Alberta and showcase their beauty with the rest of the world through art.
The art contest engaged students in this year's International Education Week (IEW) celebrations which raised the awareness of international education and its benefits to society.
We are pleased to announce the top selected entries of the 2016 Think Globally Art Contest. The winning entries are showcased below. One winner and one honourable mention were selected from the following five grade categories:
Top selected artwork will be displayed in the Alberta Legislature Building during Education Week (May 1- 5, 2017). Student artwork may also be presented as gifts to visiting foreign delegations by the Government of Alberta.
