Golden Hills School Division invites applications for a summer student to provide maintenance support for our Strathmore and Surrounding Schools. GHSD is looking for a responsible person who can work alone or in a team setting. This position will be responsible for helping ensure schools are maintained in a proper working order. Due to the physical nature of the job the successful candidate must be able to walk, stand, maintain balance, climb, crouch, and bend. This job also requires frequent heaving lifting, carrying heavy items and reaching above shoulder level. Experience with lawn care equipment such as ride-on lawn mowers and weed eaters is an asset but not required. You must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, communicate effectively, work outdoors and indoors in all weather conditions.
Must have valid driver’s license, provide Royal Canadian Mounted Police Disclosure Record Information and Alberta Children Services Intervention Record Check.
Terms of employment will commence immediately or when a suitable candidate is found and end around or just after August 23rd, 2024. Terms of employment can be negotiated.
