Golden Hills School Division encompasses a large geographical area across rural mid-eastern Alberta and serves approximately 8200 students. We value our diverse environments and the communities we are part of that are rich with culture and educational opportunities. But what makes our schools really incredible? Golden Hills School Division has 15 regular schools, 2 Christian alternative schools, 2 virtual schools (including a Christian alternative virtual program), 3 outreach schools, and 19 Hutterite schools. Golden Hills also has an international program with 300 students from 30 countries.
The communities we work with consist of numerous farms and acreages, Siksika Nation, as well as local towns and villages and many countries of the world. Golden Hills is a global community.

Should you obtain a position with the Golden Hills School Division, you will be required to provide the following information (within 30 days of the offer of employment):
- A current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (available through your local Police/RCMP department)
- A current Child Intervention Record Check (available through the Calgary & Area Child & Family Services)
- A letter from previous employers indicating years of teaching experience (if applicable)
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- A copy of your T.Q.S. (Teacher Qualification Statement)
- Additional documentation required by the Payroll department
We are presently seeking substitute teachers at all grade levels for across the School Division, including Hutterite Colony Schools.
Substitute Teacher applicants are asked to provide the following:
A cover letter indicating that you are applying for a substitute teaching position
A resume which should include:
- Evidence of a current Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Letters of reference
- Practicum or school system teaching reports
- Other information which would support your application
Prior to approval, potential substitute teachers will be interviewed.
